Cheap Hotels in Edinburgh

I am looking for a cheap hotel in edinburgh or around, outskirts of the city. Dosen't have to be anything fancy. Live in Glasgow and when coming through for nights out, need a place to stay for the night on the cheap. Have looked at travelodge/ holiday inn type places. However these seem to be priced at �80. Surely there is a cheaper option. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

Oooooh, no - not the Osborne - has really gone down hill. Better options in town - have a trawl through accommodation at http://www.edinburgh.org/ tourist board for Edinburgh.

Also keep in mind the word 'cheap' is removed form Edinburgh in August when a stay in a wheelie bin will set you back �50 a night due to the festival rates.....but that includes breakfast...
