cou;ld anyone please tell me the signs i need to look for if my rabbit is pregnant? she escaped from our garden and was on the loose for a couple of days and i am worried she may have comeinto contact with a male rabbit during this time. she has started to nest in her hutch. is this is a sign?

If she is pregnant you won't really see her getting fatter. The only real way to tell is that she will start making a nest but she won't start doing this for another few weeks.
without a doubt your rabbit is preggers. they redroduce like crazy in the wild. they are everywhere, so if your rabbit was out for two days...she will have met a boy rabbit for sure...thats a lot of rabbity lovemaking. nesting in the hutch is a definate sign as well. i cant remember how long it takes. maybe a month? but when she does have the babies. do not touch them until they have got fur and opened their eyes (even though they are the cutest things ever) otherwise the mother will reject them and can kill them.
once they are running around you should be able to take them to a pet shop and they will take them off your hands. sometimes the babies are too wild to be sold as pets. they will all be brown if this is the case. just take them into a wood and release them. they will be fine.
