bold bird?!!!

hi all, there has been a bird in my garden all weekend, it has a big fat body but no feathers on it's head at all!! it's completly bold, has anyone seen one of these before??

It could have a disease, it might be a young bird, this happense sometimes, and some young are bigger than there parents.

Where abouts are you, and can you get a photo?.

i live in lancashire, i have been trying to get a photo but it keeps flying off!! it's really bossy and chases all the other birds away, i'll try to get a photo tomorrow, thanks for replying.

It's as Lonnie says, probably due to some sort of sickness.

More than likely to be an infestation of mites or something similar. A friend of mine sent a pic recently of a Robin that came into his garden looking very sorry for himself. Have a look:

It's hard to say, warpig,sometimes they do.

It depends on the strength of the attack, how strong their immune system is and then you will have the predators looking for an easy target. I don't know about this little chap though, he wasn't seen again. Sad.

it must have the same thing as your friends robin, poor thing, it looks just the same it's still in my garden, i feel so sorry for it :(
