Should people of religion be allowed freedom of expression?
27 Answers
A few of the Christians on AB said recently they don't contribute much any more because they cannot discuss things between themselves since all the non-believers jump in and undermine their beliefs. May I suggest that if anyone of any religious persuasion would like their questions to be answered only by those with similar beliefs, they specify that when posting? If they make it clear, I for one will do them the courtesy of keeping out of it.

my experience of you has been typical of this

My question is not directly linked to N,s orginal question but is prompted directly by some of your responses on this thread.
Quoting you at one point you said
Rudeness is a sorry resort in any debate ( I agree with you)
However earlier on you also commented
If they have half a brain between them they'll know exactly what you mean (do you not consider that rude to all of us that do not agree with you and N
I have found your responses inconsistent and I tend to think Octavius has your card marked.

Ruby, So an attempt to give everyone an opportunity to discuss what they would like to discuss is wrong? Do you really believe that?
Although your post here (Naomi24 Ruby asks) is a little confusing , what responses on this thread do you especially object to?
What I said on the occasion you mention, I meant. The people who responded in such an aggressive manner, including you, weren't answering the question honestly, but were introducing their own brand of politics and making every effort to twist the question into something it was never intended to be. If you think Octavius, who clearly resorts to petty minded nonsense when he's at a loss for logical and civilised debate, has my card marked, then you're as sadly wrapped up in your own perceived personal perfection as he is. To go along with someone who, at a loss for something intelligent and constructive to say, resorts to insults and the suggestion that I'm the High Priestess of R&S is, in my opinion, very sad indeed, and therefore it matters to me not one jot how you have found my posts.

Naomi, thank you for that it has cleared up some misunderstanding for me. Having only met you before in the News section and knowing you in that context, I thought initially that you were different in S and C and wondered which persona was more like you. From your response I feel confident that you in News are the same as you in S and C. Reassuring for me. Octavius is a he- strange I thought he was a she, I guess its like hearing someone on the phone you have a mental picture in your mind which is widely removed from physical reality. Probably if I looked up his name it might have given me a clue to his gender although given my name is after one of my Irish Setter bitches female/male names here are no guarantee of real life gender
