It's a university project, they give us some ideas but weren't really interesting...

Something people can interact with and call their own, a fresh idea that grabs ppl and says i wanna be here.
I'm doing a webdesign course just now, and i too am trying to figure out a project, however my knowledge of websites is limited but my imagination for one is bigger.
Think MySpace, Bebo, Facebook.
Can you incorporate all of these ? can you add missin content? draw inspiration from whats missing from an idea you have.
a bit phylisophical i know but websites arent all 10011010010 they have to connect with people on a generalised scheme.
An interactive site would be best that people login to and exchange ideas.
