What is the answer for X and Y on the following two equations* and please show the working out?
They both have three figure answers!

If A=6 B= 7 C=9 D=3 E=8

X=(CE+(BD-1)) x ( B+D)

Y=6(B+D) x( A+B-D)+(C+D

X = (9x8 + 7x3 - 1) x (7 + 3)
= (72 + 21 -1 ) x 10
= 92 x 10
= 920

Y = 6 x (10) x (6 + 7 - 3)+ (9 + 3)
= 6 x 10 x 10 + 12
= 612
