Aquagility [ who else ] swiped two matches and four points with Maple Syrup [ which proved very popular with a lot of people ] and Rare Earth and then came bangor with Solar Flare and two more bonus points went.
A little delay, then crofter chanced his hand with Down Cast - perhaps he felt that way because he had a wooden spoon wrapped round his head - anyway he feels a whole lot better now because it earned him the last two bonus points for this competition
Topping the 'good guesses' list with three points each are teacher1 & newcomer Baboonboy and with two points each are lysander, bridgenut, Mr JimJools, Arabesque, wickedtongue, twosearch, keyboardix & gen2
Rounding out the scoring for this week with one point each
are DizzyLizzie, freebi2, patchett, sarumite, cpfcrosiel, JMR27, LaneyB, Alibobs, chiefpanda, Eiggam, Meadow Lane, David masterchef, Paul21455, Elspeth, cheshunt, brizzer, wellard, ulysses100 & Cleocima.
And everyone else is a member of a very select club, along with yours truly, and that's enough said about that !!!!!
OK, I will post this and go do some final adding up, but without doubt, the King retains his crown with a spectacular 16 points - congratulations, Aquagility

Grrrr - same as usual - Zero for me an 2 points for Jim. I think I may as well give up for all the good I'm doing. Any chance of membership to the freefall club S, Please.
Steff incase you don't get the email I just sent, it looks like we have gemlins again this week. I did send the sat xword
as usual it seem no one received it. I'm going out this morning so I will have another go at sending the Sat. and Mon. xwords then. o fingers crossed.

And to complete the month's activites here is a final break down of the scoring -
As confidently stated in the previous post Aquagility does indeed retain his crown, with afore mentioned 16 points - all hail the King [ and can we have Kate's phone nunber too please, I think that's called hogging it, just a bit !! ]
In second place, with a very creditable 11 points [ and with what must be the hot shot of the month, last week] is lysander
Then there is a group of very consistent scorers each with 7 points, including freebi2, Arabesque, cpfcrosiel, wickedtongue, chiefpanda, & twosearch
Next up, with 6points, comes Jan1956, DizzyLizzie, LaneyB & Muzz while with 5 points we have bridgenut, Christiana, crofter, rogerr, devadiva & David masterchef
The next group all scored 4 points for the month and they are cliffyg, Alibobs, seekeerz, Eiggam, teacher1, gen2, chriss, bangor & Mr JimJools while with 3 points were ulysses100, sarumite, Grenmus, kettledrum, keyboardix, Elspeth, patchett, brizzer, ShazzaHewat, Baboonboy & cheshunt
And with 2 points were Dinkypuzzled, Magyar, Littleowl, Mr O, JimJools, & JMR 27 while Mrs O, Paul21455, ChrisHewat, Cleocima, Meadow Lane & wellard rounded out the month with 1 point
Congratulations, one and all, remember it's not the winning, it's the taking part, but will somebody please widen the AB door so that you know who can get his head through !!!!
Ok next week - new month - new comp - everyone on their toes and ready for the fray - and the best of British to us all
I shall see you all then, over and out [ for now] Steff

No need to widen the door for me, Steff. I find this second win really embarrassing!
As an early riser I certainly do have an advantage, but I guess there are other paper shops which open early? Anyhow, I shall be away for much of June and July and, though I may try to get an entry in now and then, I certainly won't be in the running for any laurel wreaths.
Finally, my heartgoes out to lysander who should, in all justice, be this month's winner.

I think there should be two comps. one for those of us with full lives who have jobs to go to, and whose weekends are for catching up on all the other domestics that need sorting; and one for the early risers, who quite clearly have nothing else to do! Only joking - can't understand why I never seem to get more than one right! Congrats to all.
Seems like there will be lots of applications to join the Freefall club. I trust our secretary/treasurer, Sarumite, is jotting down the names and collecting the membership fees.
Congratulations Aquagility ,- well done.
Congratulations to everyone who managed more than my miserable one pointer. I should disappear down a hole somewhere - it's how I feel.
Ah! Well! June is another month. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. :-)
