No Sound

I have no sound at all on my pc - It was fine but then it crashed - I have reinstalled Windows and everything is working fine and says the sound is ok but when I try to play audio says there is a problem with my sound device, would be grateful for any help thanks

if you have onboard sound then i would think it is disabled in the bios, so you need to re enable it from there.
if you have a sound card , have you re installed the driverd for it?
