Is sky Broadband any good ?
I'm with virgin at the moment and I'm thinking of going with sky. How good is it and is there any problems ? Also i have a linksys wireless router will this work with sky ? Or do sky give me a wireless router ?

I changed from virgin (or ntl as they were known then) about 3 months ago, virgin was not to bad but very very expensive compaired to sky and so far have not had any problems with sky at all apart from I cannot seem to set the free router up that they give you and their helpline could not solve the problem.
So have now order a different modem/router of e bay and hope that works.
With virgin I had 2 meg broadband free phone calls 24/7 and the sky channels package + sky sportrs and no movies.
Now with sky I have 8 meg broadband the whole complete sky package sports + movies a sky plus box that records and is so easy to use that even my dog could do it, an extra box in the bedroom free phone calls 24/7 and I am paying slightly less a month even after taking into account that you have to have a bt line at �11 a month, so I for one am well happy with sky,
Just one thing to ad your router that you have would not work with sky anyway as it was made for cable only adsl routers are different..

Just one more thing to ad with virgin I found that it was forever freezing and crashing and dont know if you find the same but whenever you go into the proggrame schedule it was very very slow loading up, but with sky it is instant, and also got free instalation as well, so anyway mrknowall you can go back to body and soul now.......................
SKY isnt bad, however forget about it if you are a keen gamer as the line is default set to interleaving which causes a high ping rate.
Other than thatm they are bringing a new router out soon so all should be ironed out.
