The first type you can copy onto once, and that's it, the second type, you can record over again and again, it is re-writable.
Go into your RW programme, and you should find the instructions are easy to follow - remember they are written for people like us who are not computer whizzes, but can follow simple sinstructions. If you are still struggling, re-post advising what the programme is called.
If you don't mind spending about 30.00, get yourself a Nero copying programme from your local supplier - it is so easy, even I can use it!

Assuming you have windows XP.
Open your windows media player and click the tab 'rip'. You will be instructed to insert the cd.
Follow the simple instructions.
Now, when the cd has finished copying - it won't take long - click . Put in a blank cd.
Drag the music titles you want to copy to the right hand pane. The click 'start burn'.

Don't try to use CD-RW discs as these won't work in most people's hifis. Also, following Ethel's instructions will mean that the quality of music on the copied discs is inferior to the original. Maybe not by enough to hear on relatively cheap audio equipment but still an unnecessary loss.
If you have Nero or an equivalent you could just instruct it to make an exact copy of the disc, although this is slightly illegal ;-)
