breastfeeding
our 11 week old son has only been breastfed. Recently on a couple of occasions he has refused my wife's left breast. Nothing appears wrong with the breast and overall he is a healthy baby feeding well. A couple of friends today said they had similar problems at various points when their children were younger.
Any tips? Should we refuse to let him have the right breast until he's fed properly from the left?
Thanks in advance.

My lo went through a similar phase. What worked for me was starting him off on the easier side, then waiting for him to really relax into the feeding (normally about 5 mins), then swapping him over. This sorted the problem within a few days - but I'm still not sure what caused it!
Good luck :-)

My 8 month old does this a lot, its just a preference, a lot of my friends with babies the same age as mine have had similar.
Dont refuse the breast he likes as within a day or two he will be back to normal, express from the side being refused if that eases the pressure.
I found that feeding from the side being refused when Baby is tired really helped, even now!
