So what do you guys get your feline/canine or any kind of pet friend?
Mine have just indulged in sharing a packet of Organic King Prawns! One of their favourites, well that was the cats, (and the dog got a couple!)
It turns into mayhem here when i get the pack out, i get pounced on my 6 mad moggies who seem to be trying to convince me they havent been fed for a year!! And of course, little Cefa gets little bits but i have to hide her & her prawns or the biggens pinch from her!
Not sure what my dog will get as his weekend treat yet mind you!

Hey garner!
Its Lucy btw! :-p

Im thinking my Samoyed will get some roast beef and gravy this evening :) He has stacks of normal dog treats, but he is a very fussy eater, might even stretch to cooking him some frankfurters to (if my fella doesnt see or he will moan the frankfurters are his and not the dogs lol!)
My little ones are fine ta! Cefa is doing fantastically, shes a right moo though, reall little cow! But she is absolutely adorable!
Soooooooooo sorry got the wrong L lol..pleaded the little is fine has she still a limp or has it got better I bet shes spoilt and knows it
Question Author
She doesnt have a limp any more, well i cant notice ne when she is flying round the house chasing the older cats! Her back foot is bigger then her other paws which is very cute! Shes like a little Thumper!
Her and her mum K.c are very much the Princesses of the 7 we have! They are very posh little cats!
And why not, they deserve it.Im pleased for Cefa after all she went through.Dont we spoil our pals when you think about it,but still its better that way than how some people treat their animals. You read about it most days in the paper and its so upsetting. Thanks for the info Lucy [got it right this time]
Hi Lisa.
Our little Westie, Misty had her share of roast lamb this evening when we had dinner.
She also got a couple of small pieces of cheese when she was at the park tonight.
Mine only get dog biscuits or denta chews twice a week. They have their food and thats it (however, their food is a complete diet, plus doggy stew with fresh meat or chicken with pasta and veg). I have lots of friends who buy scratchings and give them a bit of whatever they are eating, and the dogs beg for food, which I dont like to see. Plus I like to control what they are having to control their weight as overweight dogs cause other problems. Only other little treat they get is sausage or liver cake in the show ring.

Jules77,
When we give our Ashke his bit of roast meat or leftover pasta or rice it is always well after we have eaten and it goes into his food bowl and he eats it from there, we never feed him off our plates as he is never in the room when we are eating! I dont have to worry about him becoming overweight as he is underweight at the mo from not eating for a long while, then the other evening, i put a bowl of food out for him and he ate the hole lot which he hasnt done in a long time! So I am very happy about that!
My housemates sister has a few pets a dog and something else, and she has moneyboxes for them and gives them pocket money lol! I dont understand how that one works!
My two cats are always starving too.

I bought Frankie Roast Beef from Tesco today and his sister, Merlin, got Ham. Or she would have gotten have had she moved faster. Frankie ate both shares.

Did you know that cats have to wake you up during the night to get fed. So Frankie tells me. :-)
freak_unique, that's funny! But a good way of using spare change. She should get a moneybox for her local anima; rescue too, and pop a bit in there every so often to buy nice things for the poor dogs and other animals.

wiggal (Lucy!) Jack, our Collie, is gluten intolerant, so he gets expensive treats! lol. We use an online co. that make gluten-free treats. He likes the odd pigs ear, loves mashed potato, can't get enough of tuna, and also we occassionally give him a bowl of turkey mince (it's quite lean, but very tasty!) as a treat. He likes those filled hoof chews, and his number one yummiest treat is definitely the gluten free sausages we buy from time to time for him. They are bl **dy expensive, but the way he pants and wags his tail when I put his sausages in his bowl means it's more than worth it!

He is fed a complete dry food, and I don't think the odd treat is a bad thing at all-after all, we treat ourselves often enough!
wolf63: I can't believe you didn't know that! Pleased Frankie put you right, lol!

Lisa x
Hi Wiggal, glad you can feed you dog left overs, I can with the one, but not with the other, so it doesnt seem fair - and I am so conscious of them gaining weight as they are prone to, so it is just better if I stick to the same regime and they are such gannets if I ever gave them a 'bit' of what I am eating I would never hear the last of it!
hi wiggal :-) My lab loves treats of course and gets mainly the dog goats milk , and occasional pigs ear , or big bonio.

Went to the vets yesterday for my dogs injections, nd said to her about his weight, she checked him out and he was around 19Kgs (i think, not good with weight!)
She said to him that as he is underweight i can feed him anything i like to get him up to healthy size, she reckons he just needs to put on about 2 kgs.
He was a happy boy to here that so will be getting some Beef and Veggies this evening with his tea!!

Hi wiggal , I just read that out to my 47 kilo labrador , she has to watch her weight as she doesn't get much excersise :-)
