Ford mondeo 96 gear problem

I have a ford mondeo N reg 96, 1.6 16v. IT gets stuck in 5th and have to rock the car to "pop" it out and it wont go into reverse, all other gears fine. New gearbox needed?? Thanks for any response!

Not always, could be a linkage problem.
