I have a couple of pictures that my Grandmother gave me , artists name C Taylor, titled, "The Letter" and "Mafalda", can anyone help with the background of this artist? Or where I can find anymore examples of her/his work? Thank-you.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.This may be completely off the wall (you haven't given much detail about the type of paintings or their subject matter) but... a friend of mine has a painting titled 'The Son's Letter' by a C Taylor. Oil painting, very rural, with Cornish folk and thatched cottage. That C Taylor was christened Albert Chevalier Taylor and he was a member of the very famous Newlyn Scool of artists. He didn't of course just do rural scenes - I've seen a well-known portrait he did of Marconi. It may be entirely wrong, but then again it may be somewhere to start.
