In 2000 while on This Morning Madeley dressed up and impersonated the comic Ali G and talked to / was interviewed by his wife, Judy. His impersonation was met with widespread ridicule. This moment was voted number 1 in a poll of 100 Most Embarrasing TV Moments due to the cringeworthy nature of Madeley's perseverance of the impression.
