4 Answers
Hi, I had a personal training session at the gym with a personal trainer, she pushed me quite hard doing big wieghts, im only a 9stone, 5 foot 22years old girlie, that was on Wed, and i've been off work since with upset tummy, aching muscles and headache - do you think its to do with the gym or just a coincidence?

My experience of personal trainers has taught me to go to a man - women can be cruel and mercenary.
Your headache could be caused by overworking your shoulders, try having a massage.
Maybe your upset tummy is the thought of going back to the gym - lol.
If it's possible try having a quick swim before and after another gym session - or even instead of, until you're ready to venture into the gym again.

Please, please, please, do not overdo it when training. Like you I was once a fit and active 22 yr old (hard to believe I know) but I thought nothing of getting in the gym @10am and coming out @7pm every single day, now @ 47, I am suffering arthritis , shoulder pains and various other ailments associated with overtraining, your body will tell you when you have done enough, forget the no pain no gain crap . Take it easy and in and out in 1 hr is quite suficient
