Seriously, if it's still swollen two weeks after you punched a wall, i don't understand your reluctance to visit your GP?

Don't be dim twice (1st time for punching a wall), get to your GP ASAP.
The swelling either suggests you've done serious damage to a blood vessel and it's basically bleeding or it's quite possibly broken and the swelling is there to protect it. If it gets reset badly however that might require an op to fix it.

It is possible that the swelling is also natural reaction as sometimes it can take weeks to go down, but a doc might be able to give you something to ease that.

One bad thing about swelling is that it *could* trap nerves and put pressure on other areas which could then lead to a lot more problems like tissue damage, blood vessel damage, nerve damage etc. due to the pressure.

As for other options - leave it to go down and then figure out what damage it's done.

Oh, did I mention blood poisoning...?
If you don't value yourself or property... why not amputate your hand? Just make sure the saw is reeeeally sharp and you have a tight tourniquet. Get some hot tar to put on the stump, that will stop the blood gushing. Remember to use a very sharp curved knife to cut the flesh, muscle and tendons first.

Best of luck. Is the term "knuckle" head out of place here?
Boxer breaks are when the very end of the bones in your hand break (been there, done that). Unfortunately, it might need to be reset if it is broken. If it is, and you don't sort it now, expect cronic pains in about 5-10 years time.
I punched a wall years ago, the wall didn't flinch so I hit it again, it still didn't flinch but I learned the wall was harder and I had a broken metacarpal which meant six weeks in plaster and six months before I got full use of my hand again. I then got dupuytren's contracture around the site of the trauma and my hand is now turning into a claw which I now have to travel 350 mile to see a surgeon and then the same trip for an operation and then time off work for recovery and will probably need the same operation over and over as it cannot be cured!!

The wall won!!! I learned from this incident, I suggest you also learn from it!!! lol
Reminds me of my younger son some years ago. All sitting down to dinner and hubby calmly announces son has hurt his hand. Son has hit someone at school and fist was distorted swollen and red. I was furious, hubby ex schoolboy boxing champ so must have known there was a problem and he decided to tell me just as I'd dished dinner. Sent them both to a & e and eat my dinner. Came back with plaster on wrist. I went back next day with son in tow. ' I know I'm not a doc but please explain why not plaster more or diffrnt part of hand.' Got OK explanation but clear that one knuckle had disappeared. Think this is called a boxer facture but not sure now. Anyway son now 25, much less likely to punch anyone but has reminder of that day forever. Looks odd but he is a bit Clint Eastwoody and has never said it plays up.
