If you can get to a tesco or sainsburys, get their own brand hayfever relief tablets (the ones that contain cetrizine), I have had hayfever all my life and these (which are rebranded as Zirtek and sold for 3 times the price in chemists) are the only things that help me!

Other than that, keep windows closed and try "snorting" water up your nose to wash out whatever may be inside your nose! Sounds horrible but it works for me!

As a last resort, take a couple of paracetamol, they numb the symptoms a bit, the same as the way they do for a cold!
I use loratadine, nasal spray and eye drops. I havent been outside yet today but my eyes feel itchy and I can see the tree pollen everywhere out there though. I think its probably just one of those days.
Put vaseline up your nose, its not very lady like, but it is very very effective {it catches the pollen}, also wearing wrap around sunglasses ''WILL'' assist in stopping the pollen entering your eyes, early morning & dusk are the most vunerable times apparently for sufferers of hay fever.

Ps, at least you can go out when it rains, the rain dampens down the pollen, shower as often as possible as well, this will assist in getting rid of the pollen on you, other than that, chazza has probably covered every other base, don't pay over the odds on brand names, look to see if they have cetrizine as pointed out
morning sammi!! get yourself a doc's appointment and ask for fexofenadine (presuming you haven't already tried it) it's the only stuff that helps my hayfever, and like goodsoulette i also use loratadine nasal spray and opticrom allergy eyedrops
good advice from laurence2 aswell
the pollen count does seem to be high today, i was a mess first thing this morning but i'm fine again now.
good luck sweetie xXx
Go to a local farm outlet shop (they even exist in cities!) and buy some locally produced honey.

The pollen the bees eat (or gather) will get in to your own system and build up a natural immunity.
Pollen count for the majority of the country today is 6 or 7 which is classified as ''HIGH''

Do you no exactly what pollen you suffer from sam, i suspect that its ''Grass pollen'' as 95% of sufferers have this, tho it could be ''Tree pollen''

Don't be afraid to experiment with spays, eye drops etc etc until you get the right formula, just be careful of tablets that might make you drowsy tho, ie car driving, mechanical machinary.
I just bought my son a BIONAIRE air purifier with ioniser, approved by the british allergy foundation. His symptoms are so much better. normally like you his eyes would look like they were going to fall out of head. It was only 40 from argos. hope this helps

'Morning, hun!

If your GP thinks it's bad enough, you can ask for an injection that will help. It's called Kenalog.
