im 18. just about to do my a levels.
Im planning on going to uni in september this year. But, im really tempted to go and work in spain for a year.
how hard would this be? i dont think finding a job would be too hard, i speak a bit of spanish french and german so that would help.
But on the side of finding new friends, accomodation/affording it do you think this would be impossible?

Definately not impossible - loads of people do it. Are you wanting to work in a city or more of a holiday resort?

I lived in Spain for a year and where we lived work was seasonal, so depending on where you are wanting to move to work can be hard to find in the winter months. Lots of Brits live all over Spain but same again depending on the area depends on the age ranges so research where you want to go fully if your wanting a job and friends. Accomodation can differ from company to company, some want one month deposit and one month in advance others want more. We paid E600 for 3bed townhouse a month so we had to pay E1200 in advance. You won't need something so big, best to go with friend and split the rent.

Apin does have areas of high unemployment but there are also loads of opportunities. Get as much background informationas you can before deciding to go - it may be fun to pack a case and leave without a plan, but the rules and regulations for the decent jobs - and I don't mean the one calling passers by into a bar for example - need to be gone through for you to get the best from the trip.

Having some of the language is a good help, and for a chance to really experience a country and get to meet other folk, Spain is a brilliant location.
