My fiance was suspened when accused of stealing money. Which of course she did not do. In the state of oregon we were told that, not only does she not have to be paid while suspended, but that the suspension has NO time limit. Which in turns means she cannot file for unemployment insurance. They also are not required to actually take any further action.
Is this true, should WE file a report of theft to the police, and not wait on them, and what about her insurance. She is bi-polar and needs medication, at $800.00 a month with-out ins. I would also like to add, the she had complained to HR that she had been pushed by a manager, then one of her shifts were given to a less experinced server, a sunday best tip day of the week, and this is also the person who's money is missing

Thank you

This is a UK based site and the user are predominately from the UK. For someone who knows about US employment law you will really need to use a site based in the US.
Of course she didn't steal the money.
