i can only connect to my laptop from my modem via usb,due to the quality of my service provider virgin media, is there a wireless router on the market which can allow me to connect to my service without the hassle of the cable across my house?

I have Virgin Broadband and use a Linksys router - been rock steady for 2 years, good range all over house and garden, and easy to secure.
