faded colours

I keep trying to print a picture i drew and coloured on my lexmark p4350. i have a new colour cartidge but the colours don't look right. ie the purple is blue.
I've done all the cleaning and aligning tasks.
anyone know what i'm doing wrong?
are there any programs i can get which will allow me to redo the colour scheme?

Does the print look dull? Check for the option to print in quality mode and not a draft mode.
