Ironing
16 Answers
I hate using spray starch on my work shirts as it sticks to the ironing board and the jets on the iron it is so annoying when that happens especially when I've nearly finished! Anyway I am just a humble man and don't want to make a fool of myself in this regard, but is there any products I can buy that'll allow me to starch my shirts in the wash, like in't olden days? And where can I get it?

A fully house trained fella that can cook and that supports Everton - wish there was more like you around lol
Sorry I can't help with the shirts even though I love ironing!
You could always stick to the everton shirts, easy washable, don't need ironing and look fantastic - don't think they'd look to good for going to work in though!

i dont understand why it would stick to the ironing board >have you done them damp that does help i do about 12 hours ironing a week for other people a lot of them are shirts , they all tell he what a great iron er i am , the big jet steam iron s are very good on shirts . well done for trying anyway x
If only I played for Everton then all my problems would be solved! I may be spraying too close, but when I iron a shirt that is damp it'll stick to the ironing board and as for the iron itself, whenever I iron a shirt I use the steam jets but if if I've used the starch any time recently then I find it comes out as a dark crumb like substance it brushes off easily enough though. Someone must still make an in wash starch, the firm ACDO springs to mind. While we're at it some of my jumpers are handwash only and then it says dry flat, on what? I've had to rig up a rack like thing to go over the bath but if I do more than two there's no room, any suggestions?
Apart from wash them one at a time, i'm a working man.

Well i'm afraid when I wash 'hand wash only' jumpers they get put in the washing machine on a woollen wash and hung (very carefully) to dry. But then again i'm a woman and I know what i'd doing lol (no offense meant)
We (Everton) could do with an extra couple of players though so how about aiming for that - would save loads of washing and ironing lol
Or you could always get someone else to do your washing and ironing!

If Only! Machine washes are no good for chemile (I hope I spelt that right) and I have some woolens that I use to go hiking in the Lakes that I would'nt want to ruin. I always work on the basis that if my nan (God rest her soul) could manage then so can I. I think we need about 5 players this season if we want to do well, I'd start with Nugent, Barton, possibly Gravesen and Kightly and some cover at centre half, I think Nugent and Barton would be the most expensive (5 mill?) all in those 4 should cost around 15 mill given the prize money for this season that should be easily affordable. But prepare yourself for the start of season chorus of we're gonna win the league (due to global warming it started early, the previous season had'nt even ended) from the red s***e. Every August these ***** crow, and every December they hush down. Nil Satis Nisi Optimum forever!
