the sea venture was a ship owned by the virginia company. It sailed on June second 1609 from Plymouth to Jamestown Virginia. On July 25 it ran into a storm and three days later it sank. IT's wreckage lies near Bermuda. It is said that the story of the Sea Venture inspired Shakespeare's play The Temoest.
