i got 5 points last year and 4 weeks ago i had a crash in my car set off doing 5-10mph n car lost control n smashed into another car i panic and got scared and left the scene i been charge for leaving the scene and driving without due care and attension even tho i paid out for a mechanical report to say the car was faulty so am in court on the 19th and wondered wot was going to happen? will i get imprisoment? or get banned etc ? will my insurance be void? am really worried and scared never been in this situation before i dont know what to exspect or wots goings 2 happen?

Although your insurance is invalidated you cannot be prosecuted for no insurance. Now the bad news it's 5-10 points for failing to stop and 3 to 9 so it's bye bye license. Probably for at least 6 months.You are very unlikely to be jailed, I would say you'll get 6-12 months ban and 300-500 fine.

sorry about the spelling mistakes i type 2 fast but thxs for the answers its bad news all around for me will be banned fined and my insurance aint gonna pay out i spose not going 2 jail will be the only good 2 come out of a stupid thing

the car was mechanically faulty which i have had an engineer report 2 suggest that am just hoping they accept it and drop the due care and attension

the ball joint clamp snapped causing the wheel to move freely which in turn caused my wheel to go off to the left and making me crash

So you were driving a car that wasn't fit to be on the road in the first place?

but i dident know that till after the crash when i had an engineer look at the car

it just had passed its m.o.t week before so i had no reason 2 think it was unsafe
