Has anyone ever had major problems with Renault Scenic? Always serviced by Renault dealer. I think this is the worst car I have ever owned, everything went wrong including blowing the engine up when the timing belt came off (33000 miles). This was 3 weeks after the warranty expired. The joys of motoring!!

If you had joined this forum before your timing belt came off you would not have had to pay the full price for repairs.

Check it out to see what other owners of the Scenic think.

i had a renault meganne, it was total rubbish, the brakes didn;t work even after 650 of repairs for which i refused to pay.
i've now got a freelander, it's superb, i'll never buy renault again
I had a scenic for just over a year, cost a fortune in reapirs. Now got a ford focus. Service costs half of scenic, parts are a lot cheaper, insurance cheaper, road fund licence cheaper....if I were you I would get rid of the Scenic before it bankrupts you....
I was supposed to do an oil change on one of the blasted cars today for a friend of mine - the b**tards at renault pop rivet the floor pan to the front bumper so you cant take it off to drain the oil out from the filter or the sump - is this typical of French cars or was I missing something ?
