This extra pays for the sub-base materials, and the labour of making the sub-base and laying the slabs. There are many different sorts of slabs - look for Marshalls, Bradstone and Bowland Stone as possible makes. Choose your own slab, then ask your selected contractor to quote against that specific slab. Slabs cost between �18 to �30 per square metre "raw" material cost.
