Is it true that coffee can increase your stress levels?
I drink about 3-4 cups every morning when at work. I am a very laid back individual so need something to give me that 'edge'. Is coffee the way to go?

I was thinking about something that made me less chilled out but which wouldn't have a detremental effect on my working abilities. Plus I can't be smelling of vodka in the office, Octavius, but nice try.

You could try cutting out caffeine altogether. It's probably because you drink coffee that you need it to perk you up in the morning.
Once you come off it, you'll find you are naturally more alert. Of course as with any drug there's a withdrawal period where you'll feel like cr&p, but it's worth sticking with it.
I've been caffeine free for about 3 years.
