Step Ladder missing bottom plastic ends

I am missing one of the plastic end bits that go on the legs of a step ladder, therefore it wobbles!!
Any ideas what I could put on it to make it stable again.

Ah, but if I took them all off, it would leave an indent in the carpet / floor !!

........and the ladder would slip - the plastic piece should have ridges underneath to prevent this - remove both at your peril...
