Humanity to our fellow man
5 Answers
The definition in the dictionary describes humanity as follows -
The quality of being humane, the kind feelings, dispositions & sympathies of man, especially, a disposition to relieve persons or animals in distress, and to treat all creatures with kindness and tenderness. " The common offices of humanity & friendship "
Question, Is our humanity to our fellow man on a massive decline? Do you actively live your life in a consciously humane way for the benefit of others?
Back later, going over to the neighbours for a drink and a chin wag!!

I think this is probably increasing rather than decreasing its just that as we now hear of terrible things from around the world very very quickly it may well appear than humanity and society seem to be breaking down
Oh yeah, thats nice, you go and enjoy yourself and leave us all to ponder your philisophical question why dont you?
Anyway, to answer your question
1)no, in my opinion it isn't on a massive decline, open the papers, or watch the news and all you see are stories about "hoodies" rapes, murders and robberies etc. Good news is not often reported, however, watch something like "britains got talent" and you see all that energy going into something positive.
2) I was a soldier for many years, I fought in NI, 1st Gulf war, Bosina, Kosovo + Afghanistan and saw many terrible things so now, I try and live my life in a manner that allows others to live with the minimum disrpution and suffering, and, where possible I do work for charity.

O.k, maybe I should have worded that differently. Yes, to be humane comes naturally from within us, I do get the impression though that people today are less humane to each other & that there is more greed, bad manners, insensitivity, thoughtlessness ect... I am surprised you all think opposite. Of course there are good things happening, I just feel there's a steady decline of morals & that people are not very respectful of others.
