Wireless Laptop

This might be a daft question to a wireless expert! I have just bought a wireless laptop but only have dial-up isp. If I buy a wireless router will I be able to use the internet without joining a broadband isp? I have absolutely no knowledge of wireless or how it works.

No - you do need broadband for wireless connection.

That's what I thought until I googled. I have found this:

I know nothing about the WiFlyer apart from what I have read on that site, so please investigate it thoroughly.

Hello seelie :-) Are you on a dial-up ? You can get a router designed with the wires and connections you need to give you Wifi . Expect to pay anything between 50 and 100 for a decent one . My friend has dial-up and bought a router and now has Wifi with good reception.
