Will it still be possible to buy a black and white TV licence after the switchover to digital TV?
I remember when video recorders became popular many years ago, they were classed as colour receiving equipment and you needed a colour licence even if you only had a B&W TV. I assume that the digital TV set-top boxes will also be 'colour receiving equipment'?
It will interesting to see how long that continues.
Interesting point on that site:
Listeners who use a digital set top box solely to listen to the radio will not require a licence (this will not apply to set top boxes that are able to record television programmes).

I can't see how you could use a set top box just for radio broadcasts. I can get radio stations on my Freeview box but it needs to be fed through the TV. Can you buy radios, or connect up a hi-fi unit, to a set top box?
