doorstep milk delivery-insulated box

I've just resumed having milk delivered to the door, despite being assured by the salesman that it would arrive before 07:00am this doesn't seem to be the case and some days we are all gone from the house quite early and not back until the afternoon. I'm quite keen to continue because of the glass bottles and the recycling thing. Does anyone know where I can get hold of a box or something to keep it cool on hot days?

I am just about to go back to having dorrstep deliveries too, I was told it would be delivered about 6.00 am, so we shall see, I might try to get one one of those boxes from the milkman, but failing that they sell them here, but they don't show a picture http://www.milkdeliveries.co.uk/doorstep/gard0 1.htm

thanks for that, I get my milk from them so I'm going to try and persuade them into giving me one considering their salesman told me a load of balderdash re delivery times. Thanks again

BBWCHATT... How do you get your fresh milk? is it a trip to your local store or supermarket ect.

Garner - I can get fresh milk in any convenience store (and they are EVERYWHERE), grocery store or supermarket - they are all over the place too - the closest one to me is about 2 minutes away - but I have to go get it!!!

Since I work from home, I sometimes need milk before I need to go out to see a client or something - so I would LOVE having it delivered.

i wonder if they're having some sort of 'push' in england to reintroduce more home delivery, as we too have had someone try to get us to use this service again. personally, i would never go back to having a doorstep delivery, it's cheaper and more convenient for me to pick it up either at the supermarket or the local shops, once or twice a week. and fresher too i would imagine, rather than having it sat on the doorstep even in a cool box, for a number of hours.
we have very good recycling where i live and the 4 pint plastic milk containers just go straight into our recycling bin.

well today is day one of our new doorstep delivery and it is now just after 10.a.m and there is no sign of my milk, luckily, I had some left over from the weekend, but if this is going to be a regular occurrence then I will be going back to the supermarket for my milk, it's no good getting it delivered if it's not here in time for breakfast is it?
