Numbering invoices
I have created a template for invoices but some people now want theirs numbered. I can't figure out how to number them so that the numbers will continue in sequence eash time starting at 01 and continuing on to 02 etc. Can anyone help me please?

I did a bit of research and I now think my template is based on the Microsoft Office Services Invoice with Hours and Rates. Hope that maybe helps you to help me.

sorry mate .... this is a technical subject - and the solution is technical.
there are two solutions ... a bare text template ... and a list of invoice numbers ... cross each one off as you use them.
The other is to use a macro
because the macro needs to "know" the last number and increment it ... it's not simple ... especially when you further complicate things by numbering by company.
if you search on google you will certainly find a site offering ready made templates for sale.
but unless you can find an enthusiastic amature ... "For Sale" is the key phrase.
Home use software is often free ... unfortunately once it is used in business for profit ... programmers want their cut ....
the alternative is you learn to insert the code you need yourself .... that article is all you need by way of information .... but I showed a long list of others in google
