bleeding after sex

my mate has terrible bleeding after sex - really really bad by the sounds of it. She went to doctors who swapped her pill but ruled out cysts which we thought could be the cause. There is a three month waiting list for her to see a gyno and she goes abroad for couple of years in about 6 weeks. she is worried about it and i'm worried about her??

hi nannon, could be that she has an erroded cervix - this is a fairly common complaint which can be caused by the pill. the cervix can be aggrevated during sex - hence the bleeding afterwards. however, this can usually be identified by a doctor's examination. plus, if her doc thought it was anything serious, he or she would rush thru the appointment surely? good luck, don't worry.
