Animal abuse

My friend's dad is fostering a couple of dogs. One of them, a male, was abused, s*xually, by a human. This led me to ask, what the **** is wrong with people?

Some things are just truly unforgivable :(

They are.

It's pointless trying to apportion rational thought to such cruel and perverse behaviour - there are no answers, and you will only upset yourself looking for them.

Far better to put your energies into loving and caring for your dog, who'se bad times are now ended, and can look forward to plenty of love and affection, which will heal him .. and hopefully you too.

Definitely. I haven't thought on it too much, as it disgusts and appalls me, and of course is entirely irrational and outside of "normal" behaviour.

*sigh* It just makes me so sad.

Some people should never EVER be allowed to keep animals. And that's a conservative solution...

When I said my friend, I meant my friend, not "my friend"! lol. So it really is my friend's dad.

When I hve more time to offer, I would love to foster. Also, my woofer will have to settle down before we have another dog in the house!

Apparently the abused dog is very withdrawn and timid, I can't i magine the way he views the world now, he must be so confused.

Unfortunately, we live in an over compromising society where some with extreme perverted sexual preferences are categorised and shelved. These people rate the same those *mumble mumble* who rape toddlers and even babies under 3 months.
It is a pity that common decency prevents us from sterilising them so they can't propagate their genes.

pussnboots, I know. I couldn't even get my head round the physical aspect, and considering the mental anguish for the dog was just heartbreaking.

People can be so wrong. I had to get home and cuddle my dog for ages just to feel better! My god, if anyone hurt him they wouldn't be walking. Hell, they wouldn't be living...

I didn't mention...the abuser was actually the dog's OWNER. I hope he is never allowed the honour and privilege of pet ownership again.

Dont know where you live but I would be tempted to make his actions and name public. Has there been a court case yet? If so I hope he is banned from keeping animals for life

Annlinda, I don't know anything about it other than that. It's in Lancashire, though I am not. And I get the impression he was dealt with, though probably not seriously enough.

Obviously not dealt with in the way he ought to have been. The person deserved a jail sentence and even that would have been too good for him.
Hopefully, with love and affection the dog will soon trust your Dad and be a happy dog again.
