On an another post the talk of old wives tales became a talk of interest and the question is : Do you still beleives in old wives tales and are they still passed on in your generation ?
a big great spider stared at me last night i do not know what you think about this but spiders are much bigger now!
just ca not bear the thought of waking up with a spider in my mouth or something. and i check every single walls in the house at the moment.
I had to stop reading this because I ended up getting teary.and stamping my feet a lot. We had a wood louse spider though, about 2 years ago. We thought it looked weird so I made Brad put it in a jar and in the shed til we found out what it was.
I'm with you there!! I check everything! I once had TWO spiders crawl from under my pillow just as I was about to get in so I can't even climb in now without shaking the pillows and checking the wall at the back of the bed. I never watched that film aracnophobia because I didn't want to be given extra places to check!
I went to mop the floor yesterday and when I took the mop out the bucket - there was a spider scuttling about in there - good excuse not to mop methinks! Hubby will have to do it now.
When my two daughters were small I really tried to be brave about them so as not to give them a phobia. I smiled about them, put them outside and generally tried to be laid back about them. However, it didn't work they are both scared stiff and now they're older I've admitted I scared. The only way we can deal with them is to get the vaccuum hose and suck them up. Mind you I won't kill any outside.
I am afraid that i am chief spider remover in our house, mr is a complete wimp!! i never scan a room for a spider, and if i see one i just leave it there, until my husband see's it and orders me to remove it before he kills it (i wont let him kill them!)
