I fyully agree with Wellard, and find it quite extraordinary that someone can drive a car and not know if the engine is pushing or pulling.

I drive for a living, all sorts of vehicles. It doesn't worry me in the slightest if car drivers do not know if the front or rear wheels are the driven wheels.

If they are going to drive like rally drivers they need to know. Otherwise it is pretty irrelevant.
