Animated GIFS (or not)

I was sent a GIF which know will be very amusing but can't get it to animate! I imported it into powerpoint and it worked but v...e...r...y slowly. Any tips/ideas? What other programs can open/edit GIFs?

Well, there is a simple solution, open a blank window of Internet Explorer (CTRL+N and press ESC), then drag and drop your gif file in the blank window and it should work ! PS : most of adverts you see on internet are Gif files and you can see them move ... so your's too ! Hope it helps.
