Burning cd's

We got this pc just before christmas from pc world, we asked for a pc that we could burn cd's/dvd's etc.
I have tried many times, it will burn the music data files but not the music, ive done everything im supposed to do & get the same result everytime.
Can anyone help with this

I think there is something wrong with our pc!
Ive tried everything now & still getting the same result, Back to PC World i think!

What software are you using to burn the music to cd

Might seem a bit of a silly question, but have you set your software to burn an audio (rather than a data) disc?
