why is it that animals such as rabbits, sheep,goats cows. horse's ect all eat mainly grass as the staple diet.
so why are there turds all so different in type and texture,? the amounts are to be expected due to the size of the animal.

A cow has a hot brew of bacteria breaking down the cellulose so their pads are bound to be ... well, pads.
Goats are browsers, eating a great deals of brush and branches so their pellets are like pellets.
Rabbits are non-ruminant, but eat their first time droppings to get the most of goodness out of them.
Sheep are... well just sheep.

Horses for instance, will eat a lot more than their body really needs and only utilise the most nutritious parts of their food and so their dung is only slightly altered herbage, one of the best garden fertiliser.

Each animal has their own method of dealing with their digestive system and so it seems reasonable to expect each end result to be different, and that's no cr@p.
