googling history

when I begin to type in the centre box on google home page, a box opens underneath with everything previously searched. How can I clear this and stop it from happening again ? Thanks

look at the bottom of the dropdown search box for "clear history"

then
go to settings | options | search box settings -
take ticks out of boxes as required

Go to tools --> internet options --> content --> Auto Complete --> Clear Forms.

why would you want to clear it, i find this drop down mwnu useful for futre searces. Unless you have been searchin for porn and don't want her indoors finding out.
