Is it true that when you're on a low fat diet, the body requires that you sleep more?

I have heard something along the lines of not enough sleep can stop weight loss and that whilst losing weight you should still aim for about 8 hours sleep a night!Not sure how it works or anything though!
I think they say that so you don't eat as much, since you can't eat when your sleeping

NO NO NO. Im following a diet and I now feel more sleepy and thus require more sleep. Is the body telling me something?
