castrated dog

I caught my dog this morning mating with my mothers bitch. The strange thing is, he is castrated. I had him done at the end of last year so that this wouldnt happen. Can anybody tell me why he did this? It's really worrying me.

Sometimes it can just be an expression of dominance. Even if a dog's castrated it still can have sexual feelings.

My spayed bitch often tries to mount my castrated dog! It is a dominance thing as PurplePixie points out.

I shall embarrass my dog by saying that although she has been spayed, she still fancies her chances with a small ginger kitten I've got in at the moment & keeps trying to get it to mate with her!
