3 down is an anagram as you suspect - O (for 'old') song surrounding trivia bod. It's an 'and lit' clue, ie the whole clue is also the definition.

Hello I thought at first you had somehow managed to glean a little of my character when I scanned your message and saw FRISKY and you thought of me!!. On closer inspection I see it was the leaving church part. I will see if I can come up with an answer it will be a good limbering up exercise before the guardian on Saturday. E
