today i got a speeding ticket in a transit van doing 63 mph , i thought this to be harsh but you are restricted to 50 mph , which i honestly never knew ,my question is , when i asked to see the calibration certificate for the speed gun , which the officer told me had been calibrated that day , i was told they dont have to show me the certificate , is this correct ?

if it was a hand held speed gun, they're not admissable as they're wildly inaccurate.

I take it he wasn't a Policeman as he would know that they DO have to provide the certificate if you ask to see it.

If in doubt and it was a scam-era van, ignore it and it really will go away as i have done in the past through nessecsity.. ****** i can't even spell the damn word!
