2 weeks ago i bought 12 'one day old' table chickens. a friend has been keeping them under a heat light for me. i hope to have these chickens with me next week. i am also collecting 3 (4month old) geese next week and i wondered if there would be any problems putting them all together in a big coop.

When I was a kid, my dad kept poultry and he always kept both chickens & geese together without any problems that I can remember,in fact on several ocassions when he had a hen go broody he put them on goose eggs & the hen hatched them O.K.The funny thing was that in the evening they would seperate to there own sheds for the night so I dont think you should have any problems
I've never introduced any young chicks to my geese untill they where about 12 weeks old.My geese and chickens are always in the garden together, but some times if the chickens are eating the goose food there does tend to be a bit of feather pulling. The gander is usually the worst one for this. The chickens always manage to get away minus a few feathers, but do tend to scatter when the geese approach.
Hope yours get on OK.
