open grass reas where you live'

are there any open grassareas where you live ?i know there used to be a lot , but most councils have sold them off to supermarkets or diy stores.whats happened to the green areas of this once green and p`leasant land?
there were some folk in the abr from tipton.they said anywhere in tipton wheer there a bit of grass you find a horse tied up on it .something to do with p�keys they said ????

Iggle Piggle your plea for unwanted land or land with a derelict house on it sounds like you want to do someone a favour taking it off their hands. If you look at auctioneers (eg Graham Penny who covers mainly Derbyshire but also Staffs and Notts) you will find such properties. These are often in demand and they fetch a good price at auction with several or many bidders - I know cause I've been. If you just want a piece of land for recreational and not development use this would be cheaper.

I wasn't looking to do someone a favour and funds are available for the right piece of land.
I'm not looking to put 20+ houses on an acre, more like one or two 'nice' houses !! I'm not a developer but an individual with feelings!
