A biology question about GENETICS
If anyone could help me with this I would be very grateful. I have read many biology books lately on this subject and seem to be tying myself in knots!!!
Are chromosomes made of DNA? or do they form part of DNA?
Thank you very much in advance,
Lin

I don't know what level you are studying Biology at but all structures are somewhat simplified for teaching at the lower levels and that is probably what is confusing you as the textbooks may be aimed at different levels of students.
In its simplest description, a chromosome is described as being made of a double helix of DNA coiled upon itself.
At the next level, you may read that the DNA double helix is coiled around protein molecules.
As you get to more advanced levels, you will find that the present thinking is of a much more complicated structure.
