I am sad at the moment as I seem to have lost my gold signet ring that my sister bought for me for my 16th birthday .It has hardly left my finger since but now its gone.
Is there any possession of yours that would make you upset to lose ?

That's amazing pussinboots - I never met my husband's Mum either, but heard from many people that she was was a really lovely, kind person & a fantastic knitter too. -x-

Whoops, I didn't mean it''s amazing that we never met our Mum's-in-law pussinboots, I meant that your husband's Mum lost her wedding ring in the garden, then found it again years later - a happy ending! -x-

pussnboots , that's amazing , I won't give up hope of finding mine .......unless it slipped off into the garbage this morning , in which case its at the tip by now as the bin men came today. Hope not :-(

i was a drug addict and sold my prize possessions, now my father is dying i am sick , physically sick with the things i have done.All i have are memories. but the best thing i have now , is that im more careful and cautious. my belongings are the rest of my family

Tattoo love , you have the most important thing at the moment , not a possession , but your family .You can all pull together to support each other in this hard period in your life .

I'm sure there are lots of people who have made mistakes &/or done things they regret later on in life, but you still have your family which is the most important thing & it's never too late to make amends.

P.S. Also, giving up drugs is another plus for you.....

mamma , smudge , only people on this site apart from a few more ,keep this going. i have got a good sense of humour but i am sad at the same time, and i hope that there will be people like yourselves that keep my spirits up and others........ and i thank you for that. I also hope that some will ,(trying hard to think ) will do the same as you do. The world be a better place , trying to make sense (sorry)

tattoo, i bet your dad is probably just so proud of you now, that he doesnt give the material objects a second thought.
Oh poor smudge, i really felt so sorry for you, and everyone really, it must be gutting.
the only thing i have that would be gutting for me to loose would be my kids baby books, and a particular video of my son, when he was little on hols in cyprus. i would be heartbroken if i lost those.

So sorry for all your losses. Although they may seem trivial to some, items like that hold so many special memories.
Losing is one thing, but it makes me sick to think that people could STEAL items like this, or find them and not hand them in. I always hnd things in-wallets, jewellery, money. I would hope that others would do the same for me, though I think that's bit optimistic!
